1. Katra to Sanjichhat Helicopter Services

Helicopter services operate between Katra Helipad (Udhampur Road) and Sanjichhat Helipad. The flight duration is approximately 8 minutes, covering the difficult mountain trek in minutes.

Important Helicopter Guidelines:

  • ✓ Reporting Time: Devotees must reach Katra Helipad at least 1 hour prior to flight schedule.
  • ✓ Identification: Original Gov-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID) is strictly mandatory for each passenger.
  • ✓ Distance from Sanjichhat to Bhawan: Only 2.5 km (downhill slope), which can be walked in 30-40 minutes or covered by Palki/Pony.
  • ✓ Priority Darshan Slip: Helicopter passengers receive special priority queue access at Mata Bhawan.

2. RFID Yatra Parchi (Smart Card)

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) mandates an RFID Yatra Card for every single pilgrim starting the trek from Katra.

Where to Get It

Issued free of cost at Katra Railway Station, Katra Bus Stand, and Yatra Registration Counter near our Katra Head Office. Our team assists with zero queue waiting.

Return Requirement

The RFID card must be deposited at the check-post when returning to Katra (Ban Ganga or Tarakote check posts).

3. Battery Car & Bhairon Ghati Ropeway

Electric Battery Cars

Operate between Ardhkuwari and Bhawan via the scenic Himkoti track. Specially reserved for senior citizens, women, children, and differently-abled devotees.

Bhairon Passenger Ropeway

Connects Bhawan to Bhairon Temple in just 5 minutes, saving a strenuous 1.5 km steep climb. Tickets cost ₹100 per person and operate from morning to evening.
